location was pretty central, i'll give it that.
the room i booked just wasn't right. the bed felt ancient and definitely needed replacement. the door lock was iffy and the window was broken, so road noise was a constant issue. wifi? forget about it. never worked.

the hotel is near the station, just a short walk from the town centre. the owner was friendly she told me what i needed to know. the beds were very comfortable the hotel was nice and warm.
my room smelled strongly of smoke supposedly it was a non smoking room. the toilet was unclean it smelled strongly of old urine.

I found free on-site parking very convenient. The room include a comfortable bed and was quite clean. The room offer good value for the price. The house had a nice home-like feel.
The host seemed unsure about the payment amount upon my arrival.

the location provided close proximity to my destination. the breakfast offered scottish options and the owners showed understanding. margaret was friendly and helpful to me and my dog. an assistant checked daily if i needed anything in my room.
a new refurbishment is needed even for decor. dusting is needed.
